Miles Capital Names Amy Mitchell and Steve Stotts Managing Directors

Miles Capital is pleased to announce two appointments to managing directors within its executive team. Effective immediately, Steve Stotts will become Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, and Amy Mitchell will become Managing Director and Head of Government Entities. Working together with the firm’s six member Executive Committee, Amy and Steve will co-lead Miles Capital’s growing institutional, public funds and high net worth businesses.

Steve Stotts has 30 years of experience within fixed income, equities and alternative investments and along with Amy Mitchell, he leads the Executive Committee. Prior to joining Miles Capital, Steve served as Vice President, Head of External Managers for Aviva Investors North America. At Aviva he managed in excess of $2 billion in investment portfolios for both U.S. and international clients, overseeing fund selection, compliance, and vehicle development. Steve earned his B.S. in Economics from South Dakota State University and his M.B.A. from Indiana University. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Iowa.

Amy Mitchell has 30 years of experience working with the cash investing services of government entities and along with Steve Stotts, she leads the Executive Committee. She serves as relationship manager for Miles Capital’s government entity clients and is responsible for the leadership of the local government investment pool services including the delivery of investment management, administration and compliance services. Amy has been with the firm since 1990, and during this time has been involved in every aspect of the offering to government entities. Amy earned her B.A. in Business Administration from Graceland University and has earned her FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Amy is very involved with multiple community organizations.
