Vera Lichtenberger is Chief Compliance Officer for Miles Capital. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association. Vera is a Board Member for Prevent Blindness Iowa. Before joining Miles Capital, Vera served as legal counsel for Meredith Corporation and its International Real Estate Service. She received her J.D. from the University of Iowa Law School.

Amy Mitchell is Director, Public Fund Services and Administration for Miles Capital and is a member of the Miles Capital Management Committee. She is responsible for the oversight of the local government investment pool operations and administration, and the delivery of investment management, marketing, administration and compliance services to our participants. Amy has been with the firm since 1990, and during this time has been involved in every aspect of our fund services. She earned her BA in Business Administration from Graceland University. In addition, Amy is very involved with multiple community organizations.

Rachel Cropp is the Manager of the Operations Department. She is responsible for the overall and day-to-day operations for the department, which include money market repurchase agreements, fund and portfolio accounting, firm accounting, trade settlement, DTC affirmation, proxy voting, security pricing and board reporting. She also oversees all large operational projects. Rachel has been with the firm since 1984.

Anita Tracy is the Senior Fund Services Administrator. She is responsible for the daily servicing and support for the firm's local government investment pool clients. Anita has been with Miles Capital since June 2002 and has 16 year experience working with public entity clients. Prior to joining Miles Capital, Anita was with Wells Fargo N.A. as a Corporate Trust Relationship Manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Grand View University.

Michele Slawson is Business Analyst for Miles Capital. Michele is responsible for pursuing process improvements and building scalability leveraging industry best practices for the company. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and her Masters in Business Administration from Drake University. Prior to joining Miles Capital, Michele served in operations & project management for Aviva Investors North America and was involved on several global project teams for the larger Aviva Investors organization. She is an actively involved community volunteer for organizations like the Des Moines Arts Festival, Civic Music Association, Salisbury House and the Sherman Hill Historic Homes Annual Tour.

Vicki Keast is Senior Fund Accountant for Miles Capital. She is responsible for the accounting on our Local Government Investment Pools, as well as the Miles Funds and firm accounting. Vicki started with the firm in 1993, bringing with her over 20 years of investment and accounting experience. Prior to joining the Miles Capital, Vicki was Fund Administrator for Hawkeye Bank & Trust (now merged with U S Bank). She attended Northwest Missouri State University.

Sharon James is Operations Administrator II. She is responsible for portfolio accounting and reconciliation as well as DTC affirmation. She also supports our fund services and LGIP administration team. Sharon has been with Miles Capital since 2007. She completed her Associates Degree in Accounting from Des Moines Area Community College.

Troy Lewis is Senior Operations Administrator for Miles Capital. He is involved with money market cash placements for our LGIP programs, portfolio accounting, trade settlement, and mutual fund accounting. Prior to joining Miles Capital, he worked in Trading and Operations for Aviva Investors North America, and held various roles at Mercer Consulting. Troy holds securities licenses 6, 7, and 63, and has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting and his Masters of Business Administration.
